This past weekend I had the pleasure of guiding Brock once again. This weekend we were fishing in the Swamp Guides Ball Fishing Tournament out of Islamorada. Like usual for this tournament the winds were fierce and the water was as low as I have ever seen it. We made the run across and went fishing in Flamingo. The low water made for awesome sight fishing, we were quickly greeted by waking and tailing Redfish at our first spot. Brock did an awesome job being patient and persistent and get a few fish to eat! The bait of choice for the day was the Z-Man fishing product Paddlerz in “sexy mullet” color. The fish could not stand it and when placed in the right place it was engulfed!! The Snook eluded us that day, but our hot Redfish bite in the morning allowed Brock to earn “First Runner Up” in the Junior division. All in all it was a great day of fishing!
